to all of you who thought you were done with my emails i'm
so sorry hahaha but HEY i'm back in the game!!!! surprise!!!!! & oh my
goodness i'm so happy to be here in washington. I got thrown right into Kent
which is more of the citaaay (lil sketchy in some parts) & i'm freaking
loving it here because it's legit the motherland. so many hispanics its
wonderful. my comp is the lovely hermana goodman that i was with for 2 weeks
forever ago when my baby returned home & it's been an adventure & a half
to be back together hahahahah iykyk
small plates:
-we are teaching the most solid lil guy named Jose and he
makes my heart just melt. he calls US every day to check up on us and tell us
about his spiritual progress and i'm just like
he's gonna get baptized if we can ever meet
him in person and give him a book of mormon
-had a sweet little sacrament service with the cutest
chilean family. there's something so special about these home church
meetings... especially with members that are so strong in the gospel and have
such an abundance of the spirit in their homes. love love love
-MILAGRO!!! soooo if you follow any missionary on facebook
you've probs seen pictures of the drive through prayers that we've all been
using as a finding tactic where you literally just hang out at the church and
pray with people who decide to pull in. i actually love it and have a ton of
fun yelling hello at people. BUT a few days ago, this guy pulled over and asked
me if he could come in the parking lot and talk to us for a second which of
course is an obv yes. his name is shakir and he's from afghanistan and just
moved here a few months ago and is a literal angel. he told us he's been trying
to find the truth ever since he found out it wasn't in the quran (he buried his
copy in his backyard i guess haha) and he said he felt he needed to flip a U
and come back to our church to talk to us. fast forward, the sisters taught him
again yesterday and this dude is literally so prepared like he is so so so
ready to learn about the gospel. GOD PREPARES PEOPLE. & ITS AWESOME SAUCE.
large plates:
-got picked up from the airport with a big sign & a
basket full of goodies. sisters are cute
-went to sonic for the first time in my life. the mozi
sticks were delightful so it was worth the wait
-went to the dentist again cause my teeth suck!!!!!!
luckily it wasn't a root canal this time!!!!!!!
-did some service for a family in the ward & one of our
lovely elders ate a big fat worm. i owe him a frosted lemonade
-bought sparklers & pop it's to celebrate the 4th &
had a fun lil party hidden in our park yard because fireworks are illegal here
(whoops) gotta do whatcha gotta do to celebrate the beautiful heritage of
mother america
-i won't share any names, but i got in a disagreement with
the person i live with and she locked me out of the house for 45 minutes
hahahahaha i was dyinnn (we are okay now i love her to death)
anyways lemme tell ya that missionary work is the just the
most incredible thing EVER and it's seriously the greatest work on earth. AND
it's even better right now because in our mission we are forbidden to tract
sooooooooo life is GUCCI. i'm so freaking glad i get to be back here and that i
get to continue to see absolute miracles every day and to continue growing into
who God needs me to be. gahl i just love this gospel
