i got kissed again lol

HOLA HOLA!!!! COMO ESTAN TODOS??? this week was anotha goodieeee!! 

 

small plates: (we had a lot of miracles this week so buckle up)

-we have a completely new zone and we are kiiilling the game right now. our new zone leaders are whipping us into shape real quick and make it fun at the same time so it's been good

-had a reaaaally good lesson with our friend Jenny about faith and prophets and she's hopefully getting closer and closer to baptism. she's the biggest sweetheart and loves to learn and share her testimony so we love her to pieces 

-CRAZY COINCIDENCE BUT NOT COINCIDENCE! we had to go to urgent care this week 45 min away (all is okay Hna Hampton just has a hyperactive lymph node hahah) BUT we were just chilling in the waiting room and then GUESS WHO WAS OUR NURSE??? for those of who who don't read my emails every week I'll explain quickly for you hahaha. theres this family that live in this crazy nice neighborhood that we couldn't find their house for a while a while back, but when we did we had a super awesome contact with them, and YEAH THATS RIGHT SHE WAS OUR NURSE!! we walked up and said hi and she like fell against the wall she was so blown away that we ran into her there... craaaaazy!!! pretty sure it's a sign that shes supposed to be in our lives right now ;) 

-we found 5 new people to teach in 2 days. 5. we have found 0 in the last 6 weeks so uh this is huge. we found this guy that attended church like 7 years ago and has been looking for the truth for a while and he just thanked us over and over that we showed up at his house. it was so so cool. all the others were just super open to listening and told us we could come back and keep teaching so we are stoked

-one of those 5 lives in our apartments and we taught him about eternal families on the doorstep and he was absolutely blown away. we bore strong testimony of temples and eternal marriage and this man was enamored by the idea that marriage can last forever and was asking us where the nearest temple was and how old you needed to be to go in and it just melted my heart. oftentimes we take these truths for granted and it completely changed my point of view when i saw this man come to find out about the plan for the first time and it hit just how incredible the plan of our Heavenly Father is. I love the gospel 

 

large plates:

-got a Christmas treeeeee!!!!! our cute member we call grandpa brought it to us :) we are blessed here in the Mt Peak Branch 

-got to go to a little baby shower for somebody in the branch which is always a good time. we even went the extra mile and brought a present so we're now the favorite missionaries ‍♀️

-okay the story about the title of my email: (I'm impressed if you've made it this far down the email) we're tracting in our favorite trailer park and we're walking past this trailer and hermana Hampton is like 'that one we need to knock there' and I was like hermana no you don't understand we can't knock there, but lo and behold we knocked. we found that guy that had been looking to come back to church in this trailer, but guess who else walks out? remember that guy that kissed me a few months ago? yeah lolololol I have now been kissed twice by the same man so that's kinda silly hahahaha. I promise that I dont try to get myself in these situations because they make everything so awkward. if we continue at this rate I'm gonna get emergency transferred outta here haha 

 

if you didn't watch the Christmas devo yesterday, get on it... there were some fantastic talks in there. one quote I especially love was the quote that was brought up a few times is the quote from President Nelson that says

 

"The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives."

 

I had this quote in the back of my phone for 2 years and it frequently reminded me of this simple truth: you find joy when you look for it. I challenge you all to continue to seek joy this Christmas season. make room for Him. make time to serve others. let your light so shine. seek joy, and seek light.
