surprise hehe
hi gang. you
ain’t done with me yet hahaha. i wanted to write a little email about some fun
updates while in quarantine because i’ve still been able to be pretty involved
with the work which is theeee best. technology is literally such a graaaaaaan
bendición
our little miguel couldn’t get baptized yesterday because of
the whole lockdown dealio which was sad, but he’s working on getting baptized
asap!!! i’ve been able to call in on some lessons & literally nothing
brings more joy than watching this cute little guy come closer to his savior
& love every step of the way.
our friend salomon is making fast strides. we’ve had a few
phone lessons with him & we’ve been able to see him make some goood
progress. we taught him about fasting on saturday & the blessings
associated which he really liked & then invited him to fast with us &
the rest of the world on sunday, which he did. he says he wants to fast every
day this week to receive some answers which just shows how much faith this dude
has. he’ll be getting baptized very soon because he’s been taught for a while
& just loves everything about the gospel.
our little julio is an angel. we had a really good video
lesson with him & his sister & talked about the plan of salvation for
the 3rd time & they both really really liked it. his sister veronica loves
us, but was baptized catholic & isn’t quite ready to change, but julio has
just been soaking up everything we teach & so when we invited him to be baptized,
he said yes!!! he’s on date for May 2 which just happens to be his birthday
(coincidence i think NOT) & we are STOKED to keep working with him &
help him take important steps in the right direction.
it’s literally been heaven sent to be so involved with the work
& to still be able to call into lessons & district councils & other
meetings... regular life is haaaard & it’s tough keeping the missionary
mindset so i’m just super glad that i still get to be a little bit of a full
time missionary :,)
the work cannot be stopped.
“let them labor in the vineyard; & let no man (or virus)
hinder them doing that which i have appointed unto them”
con amor,
hermana hess
to all my buddies coming home early: please
reach out to me... let’s catch up. there’s so many of us in this situation
& it’s better to figure things out together because it’s a weird time to be
a missionary
