When life gives ya onions

HEYYYYYY!!!!!!! ITS BEEN SUCH A GOOD WEEEEEEEEK!!!!!! so so so many lil miracles

small plates:

-milaaaaagro!!! on my birthday, we were drawing with chalk and this dude kept walking by to look at what we were drawing so we started a convo with him and found out that he was actually pretty interested in learning more, so we taught him this week and it went sooooo well! we taught the whole restoration and he was so very open and was so very excited to have his own copy of the book of mormon. we honestly could've invited him to baptism this week because he is very ready to act. WOOOOOO!!!!

-had one of the most spiritual lessons in my mission yesterday... we taught another lesson with the elders to their friend Lashawnta and holy cow it was incredible. i suggested that we just help her have more spiritual experiences because she still is sitting on the fence with baptism, and nothing is better than letting the people you teach just marinate in the spirit so that it can reaaally start teaching them. so we shared a elder holland talk and started talking about faith, and SHE brought up baptism and was like "you know, i felt the spirit just now for the first time in a long time and i realized that that's what i'm missing. i know that i need to be baptized in order to have that again in my life" it was incredible. sadly, she's still freaked out by dates so she didn't want to set anything, but she will for sure be baptized soon.

large plates:

-the elders coerced me into doing the murph this morning (2 miles, 300 squats, 200 pushups, and 100 pull ups -- i subsituted those for sit ups because i have noodle arms) and i literally popped out my hip before we even started so i was already dyin but now i'm REALLY dying after doing the whole thing. i am proud that i sucked it up and finished it, but i'm not going to be able to move for the rest of the week hahaha

-okay okay. heres the best story of the transfer. so i brought some onions from my last area because i thought i was gonna have a kitchen, but then when i found out i couldn't use the onions, i so nicely brought them to district council to bestow them upon another companionship, but nobody wanted my onions. soooo we ditched them on the car of the zone leaders and that started this little game of passing the onions back and forth and leaving them in weird places and what not. it was quite funny for a bit, but then they finally gave in and destroyed the onions sooooo we decided to go full fire. the elders were doing the murph one morning at 5:30, so we woke up at the crack of dawn, snuck down to the track, grabbed their keys while they were running, and sprinted to their apartment with 2 large bags of onions and left them EVERYWHERE (in the toilet, shower, microwave, in their beds, and even cut one in half and left it right at the door hahahahahahaha) and then we snuck back down to the track and put the key back on the ring without anyone suspecting a thing. the best part is they had exchanges with the assistants so that was quite the surprise for them to come home to. they still think we broke in with bobby pins so now i have mad street cred hahahaha highlight of my life

-visited the chiropracta and he let me sit in his special massage chair for 45 minutes while he told me the love story of him and his wife

-got a flu shot and didn't even cry. for those of you who know me well, you know that is a big deal

I <3 MY MISSION SO MUCH!!!!! there is no better joy than the joy found in and through the gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!!
