why am I not Hispanic? part 456,395

KON'NICHIWA MI FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!!!! it's been such a good week!!!

small plates:

-had a good ol heart to heart with our friend Daniel last p day. he was telling us about his past and how he has already held 2 of his friends in his arms while they were dying because of gang fights and how he knows others who have overdosed and it really hit hard because hes 19 and hes already seen so much. lots of the situations that our friends are in make me so sad, but it's always incredible to share the gospel with them and bring some light into their lives

-we had exchanges and I gotta go to Kent with Hermana Kynaston and it was so so good! my Spanish was sooo much better and we met some amazing people and we had a ton of fun

-had a beautiful lesson with our friend Javier. he really opened up and told us his uncle has been really sick and they think it might be cancer, but then he bore really powerful testimony about the power of faith and prayer and he told us that he shared that with his family as well. he said when he found out, he thought about us and the lessons we've shared and immediately thought about praying. he is incredible

-had suuuuch a good lesson with our beautiful angel Jenny. we read 3 nephi 11 when Christ comes to the Americas, and when she asked he what stood out to her, she shared verse 3 and really emphasized this part: "they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center." after she shared that, she just looked at us with light in her eyes and said "this is how I feel right now. I know I'm feeling the holy ghost and I feel incredibly happy and peaceful". This. Gospel. Is. Amazing.

large plates:

-we went to a CORN MAZE for pday last week and it was SO FUN!!!! theres a cute little farm in town that has a corn maze and a zipline and other fun fall farm activities and it was a friggin blast. there was nobody there so the zone tore up the town and had so much fun

-we're going on week 2 with our fort hehehe. we're very proud of it and show pictures to everyone we meet

-went out to eat because we were in the "city" and went all out and stuffed ourselves with a meal and dessert hahaha it was so nice

-uhhhh I hit 4 MONTHS this week???? like say WHAT????

highlight of the week: my favorite member in the branch is named Hermano Sugihara and he is Japanese and he spoke in church and it was the most amazing thing ever. His English is a little rough and his Spanish is even worse, so I guess he went from Japanese to rough English to Spanish all through google translate and then read it off the laptop. the entire congregation was just losing it the whole time and even he was laughing because he was struggling to get through 2 minutes-worth of material in 15 minutes. hahahaha we love him

spiritual thought:

Romans 8: 35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NOTHING can separate us from the love of God... absolutely nothing! if we reach out to Him, we will infold us in His loving arms and support us in whatever we are going through. this is one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible because it is such a testimony of the nature of God and His love for all of His children. HE LOVES YOU!

anywho, this week has been the bomb diggity and I still love being a missionary. I'm so grateful for my testimony of this gospel and for all of the blessings that come through being a member of this church.

THE CHURCH IS TRUE THE BOOK IS BLUE! LES QUIEROOOOOO!

con amor,
